Toledo, OH---Ahmad Jarrar (Hendersonville/Hendersonville, N.C.) and Vijay Gentles (Cedric Titus/Margate, FL) each scored as the Express men's soccer team defeated Ancilla College 2-0 today.

Jarrar got the Express on the board early by beating a drawn out goalkeeper following a through ball from Bjion Campbell (Coconut Creek/Margate, FL).

A hard fought game then remained 1-0 until halftime.

With the wind in the second half, Ancilla had several chances to tie it up, but were thwarted. Then, with just under 11 minutes remaining, Gentles worked around his defender and blasted a shot past the goalkeeper into the top right corner of the net for a huge insurance goal.

Ryan Wicher (Whitmer/Toledo, OH) started in goal for the Express. He made seven saves.

Gentles and Jarrar each picked up their 10th goal of the season, and doing so gives the Express four double-digit goal scorers this year. Campbell's assist was his fourth of the season.

Wicher moved to 5-0 in five starts this year, while pitching the third shutout his freshman campaign.

With today's win in the final regular season match, the Express secured the No. 2 seed in next weekend's Region XII tournament. They will get a bye through Wednesday's quarterfinal round and will play the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Muskegon Community College and Lake Michigan College on Saturday. The tournament will be held in Cincinnati, OH at Xavier University.
