Toledo, Ohio---Jacob Martin (St. John's Jesuit/Maumee, Ohio) has signed with the Bowling Green State University men's soccer program.

The sophomore midfielder led the Express in goals scored with 13 as a sophomore, while finishing as the team's second leading scorer overall. He added four assists.

During the season, Martin was a two-time Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) player of the week (Sept. 2 and Sept. 16), and a one-time National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) player of the week (Sept. 17).

Following the season, Martin was named First Team All-OCCAC and First Team All-Region XII.

As a freshman, Martin was named Second Team All-OCCAC despite not scoring a point.

Martin becomes the third Express men's soccer player in the past four years to sign with an NCAA Division I school. He joins Juavanie Cole (2011-12, Florida Atlantic University) and Rodcliff Hall (2010-11, Bowling Green State University).

He also joins Troy Watson (Sir Wilfrid Laurier/Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and Joshua Kleinow (Haslett/Holt, Mich.) as one of three members of this past year's Express men's soccer team to sign with a four-year school. Watson and Kleinow signed with NCAA Division II Saginaw Valley State University last week.

The Express men's soccer team finished 15-6-1 last year and advanced to the Region XII tournament finals for the first time since 2007.
