Cleveland, Ohio---Ahmad Jarrar (Hendersonville/Hendersonville, N.C.) had two goals and one assist to make program history and lead the Owens Community College men's soccer team past Cuyahoga Community College 6-4 on the road tonight.

The wild game started with Cuyahoga's Mile Jeremic scoring at the 9:21 mark to give his team an early lead. Jarrar answered back in the 28th minute on an assist from Matt Almester (St. John's Jesuit/Toledo, Ohio).

Those two would continue their back-and-forth one more time as Jeremic scored in the 35th minute and Jarrar scored in the final minute of the half. Jarrar's second goal came on an assist from Reiss Liggitt (Seminole/Birmingham, England).

Tevin Williams, however, gave Cuyahoga a 3-2 lead at halftime as he netted a goal with 24 seconds left in the half. Jarrar's game-tying goal had come 24 seconds prior to the goal by Williams.

Ten minutes into the second half, Almester scored his first goal of the game to tie it up. The goal was assisted by Cooper Huslig (Mountain View/Tucson, Ariz.), who would score just 11 minutes later himself to give Owens a 4-3 lead.

For the second time in the game, however, each team scored a goal in the same minute as Andrei Plop scored at the 66:53 mark - just 16 seconds after Huslig's goal.

With the game tied at 4-all, Liggitt and Almester produced back-to-back goals at the 73:46 and 79:57 marks to seal the win. Jarrar assisted on Liggitt's goal, and Joseph Adby (York College/York, North Yorkshire, England) assisted on Almester's goal.

Ryan Wicher (Whitmer/Toledo, Ohio) started and went the distance in goal for Owens. He made four saves. Jeremiah Carsten made six saves for Cuyahoga.

Owens is now 10-5-1 this year. With today's win, they finish 4-2 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) play this season, which is good for a second place finish.

Region XII play and postseason tournament seeding is still in progress, though, as Owens still has four region games left this year. This weekend, Owens takes on Jackson College at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Ancilla College at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both games are at home.
