Toledo, Ohio---Ancilla College's Alex Engle broke open what was a scoreless game at halftime with a goal in the 56th minute to hand the Owens Community College men's soccer team a 1-0 defeat at the the Owens soccer complex today.

Ancilla's goalkeeper Patrick Berg and his defense then held the Owens offense scoreless the rest of the way to preserve the win. Berg made one save, but Owens had plenty of chances late as six players produced at least one shot.

Ancilla College's Dayle Robertson, the nation's leading scorer with 25 goals, was held without a goal by the Owens defense in what was only the second game this season he didn't score a goal.

Ryan Wicher (Whitmer/Toledo, Ohio) went the distance in goal for Owens. He made three saves, including a spectacular one in a one-on-one chance for Ancilla late that would have put them up two.
