Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College men's soccer team led twice in its match with No. 16 Schoolcraft College today, but the Ocelots came back each time and picked up a goal via a header with 14 seconds left in overtime for a 3-2 win.

Ahmad Jarrar (Hendersonville/Hendersonville, N.C.) fired a direct kick into the top right corner of the net just 4:23 into the game to give Owens the early lead. Schoolcraft's Billy Werthman then tied it up at the 42:05 mark to make it a 1-all game going into halftime.

The back-and-forth action continued in the second half as Matt Almester (St. John's Jesuit/Toledo, Ohio) bent a ball into the right side of the net at the 56:30 mark to give Owens the lead again. Werthman, however, answered back again with a header off of a failed clear by an Owens defender in the 67th minute.

Then, with 14 seconds left, Victor Contreras headed in a pass from Werthman to win the game. The play happened following a last minute throw-in.

Almester and Jarrar led Owens in shots on goal with two apiece. Almester's goal was his team-high 18th of the year, while Jarrar's goal was his 12th of the year. Jarrar added his 11th assist of the season on Almester's goal.

Ryan Wicher (Whitmer/Toledo, Ohio) played the entire game in goal for Owens. He made seven saves. Colton Robinson picked up the win for Schoolcraft in goal after relieving injured starter Andres Hernandez in the 62nd minute.

Owens will travel to Jackson College on Saturday to conclude its regular season. They will then open Region XII tournament play at home next Wednesday against Lake Michigan College at 4 p.m.
