Toledo, Ohio---Ahmad Jarrar (Hendersonville/Hendersonville, N.C.) and Matt Almester (St. John's Jesuit/Toledo, Ohio) both earned major awards in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, while three other Owens Community College men's soccer players also earned postseason honors.

Jarrar, a sophomore forward, was named First Team All-OCCAC, OCCAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Region XII. As a sophomore, he had 13 goals and 12 assists. He finished his two-year career with 23 goals and 16 assists. He is one of only 10 players in the program's 17-year history to achieve 20 goals and 10 assists in a career, and he earned OCCAC offensive player of the week honors on Oct. 12, as well.

Almester, meanwhile, was named First Team All-OCCAC, OCCAC Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-Region XII. He had a team-high 18 goals along with four assists in his redshirt freshman year, and he had seven multi-goal games this year. Moreover, Almester finished third in the conference in scoring among league games only.

Jarrar and Almester finished second and third, respectively, in OCCAC Player of the Year voting.

Sophomore forward Bjion Campbell (Coconut Creek/Margate, Fla.) was also named First Team All-OCCAC and Second Team All-Region XII. Campbell closed a solid career with six goals and 10 assists. He finished his career with 18 goals and 14 assists for a total of 50 points.

Earning Second Team All-OCCAC honors were Joseph Adby (York, North Yorkshire, England) and Austin Combs (Anthony Wayne/Maumee, Ohio). Adby, a sophomore defender/midfielder, had four goals and two assists as a sophomore after not recording a point as a freshman. Combs, a sophomore midfielder who was limited to only 12 games this year due to injury, had seven goals and seven assists in those games. He closed his career with 12 goals and nine assists.

All five players were members of the team that finished 12-8-1 overall this fall and 4-2 in OCCAC play, which was good for a second place finish.
