Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 5 Schoolcraft College at home today.

Owens was playing without several starters for various reasons, and it showed. Schoolcraft's leading scorer, Victor Contreras, scored 4:29 into the game before his teammates increased the lead to three at halftime.

Then, at the 71:40 mark, Contreras struck again to make it 4-0.

Schoolcraft produced 16 total shots, with 12 coming on goal, while Owens had seven shots and six on goal.

Kyle Rowan (Perrysburg/Perrysburg, Ohio) saved eight shots in goal for Owens. Cameron Gwin saved six for Schoolcraft.

Owens fell to 4-6 overall this year with the loss, while Schoolcraft improved to 7-0-1.

Owens will be back in action next Wednesday when they travel to No. 7 Cincinnati State for a 7 p.m. matchup. The Surge edged Owens 2-1 on Aug. 29.
