Toledo, Ohio---Reiss Liggitt (Seminole/Birmingham, England), a sophomore midfielder for the Owens Community College men's soccer team, has signed a letter of intent to continue his career as a student-athlete at NAIA Webber International University in Babson Park, Fla. next year.

"I am very proud and happy to be headed to Webber International," Liggitt said. "They have an amazing squad and coaching staff down there. I'm looking forward to helping their side out next year."

Liggitt, who started 34 games over the past two seasons while producing 10 goals and 10 assists, will join a Webber International team that finished 6-7-1 overall last year, including a 3-5-1 mark in The Sun Conference (TSC) play.

As a sophomore, Liggitt started 18 games and produced six goals and five assists. He was named Second Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) after the season. As a freshman, he had four goals and five assists while starting 15 games.

In his two-year career, Liggitt produced five game-winning goals, including two this past season.

Liggitt, who went to high school at Seminole in Tampa, Fla. and will be playing four-year soccer near his hometown, helped lead Owens to a 14-7-2 record this past season, which included a Region XII championship game appearance. He helped a team that produced eight shutouts and 17 games of allowing one goal or fewer. The team finished the season with a 1.13 goals against average.

Liggitt joins Cooper Huslig (NCAA Division II Northwood University) and Bjion Campbell (NCAA Division II Saginaw Valley State University) as one of three Owens men's soccer players to sign with a four-year school this offseason.
