Owens career: In 2001, she broke the Owens record for strikeouts with 113 and ranked 17th in the nation among strikeout leaders. She also ranked 12th nationally with a 2.55 ERA and led the OCCAC in pitching with an ERA of 2.10. Her postseason honors included receiving First Team All-OCCAC honors, as well as Region XII All-Tournament team.

High School: Drain earned Honorable Mention All-Suburban Lakes League and All-District honors. She also earned three varsity letters as a member of the basketball team.
