Owens career: In 2004, Nietrzeba was named the team's MVP and earned First Team All-Region XII and All-OCCAC academic team honors. She posted a 20-7 and a 1.85 ERA for the Express. Offensively, she collected 42 hits, 31 RBI and compiled a .341 batting average.

High School: Nietrzeba was a Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Northern Lakes League and an All-Maumee Mirror selection.
