2009-10: Parr returns for her sophomore season looking to help the team get to the national tournament. She pitched in 19 games last season and finished with a 4-1 record. In 35 innings pitched, she allowed 15 runs (13 earned), 27 hits, four walks, and she struck out 13 while finishing with a 2.60 ERA. At the plate, she had 12 at-bats, three hits, one double, two RBIs, one run, a .250 batting average and a .267 on-base percentage. She had three steals in four attempts.
Prior to Owens: Parr was a three-sport athlete (softball, volleyball and swimming) at Margaretta. She played varsity volleyball and softball all four years. During her softball career, she won First Team All-Sandusky Bay Conference and Second Team All-District her senior year, Second Team All-SBC her junior year and Honorable Mention All-SBC her sophomore year. She earned Best Defensive Player honors and was a Citizens Award recipient. She played for coach Matt Johnson. She was also an honor roll student.
Personal: Courtney is the daughter of J.R. and Laura Parr. She is a pre-medical imaging transfer major at Owens.
