Myrtle Beach, SC---Melanie Iacoangeli's outstanding day, capped by the game winning RBI double against CCBC Catonsville, helped the Express split a set of games for the second straight day.

Game 1: Olney Central College 10 Owens 1 (7 Innings)

Despite a 3-for-4 performance from Iacoangeli, the Express gave up four runs in each the fourth and seventh innings in a 10-1 loss to open the day.

The game's lone run for the Express came on Emily Rockman's solo shot leading off the bottom half of the sixth inning.

Jolene Sauter (1-1) started for the Express and last 3.2 innings before being relieved by Katilyn Turski. She allowed two solo home runs in the third inning, as well as a two-run double and a two-run home run in the fourth before exiting.

After Rockman's homer cut the deficit to 6-1, Olney produced their fourth home run (a solo shot from Kelsey Bowma), an RBI single, a sacrifice fly, and an RBI groundout to take a 10-1 lead in the seventh.

Sauter's final line was 3.2 innings, nine hits, six runs (five earned), one walk and three strikeouts, while Turski threw 3.1 innings while allowing five hits, four runs and zero walks. She struck out two.

Aside from Iacoangeli, Mareshah Scott went 2-for-4. Rockman's lone hit came on her home run, while Katie Butler, Taylor Miller and Amanda Sinay each picked up hits.

Iacoangeli also stole two bases.

Game 2: No. 19 Owens 5 No. 17 CCBC Catonsville 4

Iacoangeli's RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning proved to be the difference in a 5-4 come from behind win for the Express in today's second game.

After CCBC took a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly from Samantha Lan in the first inning, Katie Butler answered with her first home run this year, a solo shot to center field, in the second.

Then, after Lan's RBI double and Eleni Wright's RBI single in the third put CCBC up 3-1, the Express answered right back once again.

Iacoangeli singled, stole second and advanced to third on a single by Scott. Following a groundout by Sinay that put runners at second and third, Rockman came through with a two-run single to center to tie the game at 3-all.

In the top of the fourth, Lan struck, once again, for CCBC with a two-out RBI single to put her team up 4-3. Then, according to form, the Express answered back in the bottom half.

Olivia Reeder and Lassey led off the inning with back-to-back singles. After Tyniesha Wilson grounded out to advance the runners, Iacoangeli flew out to center. On the play, Reeder broke for home forcing a throw. That's when she went back to third and Lassey took off from second. She ended up getting in a rundown that allowed Reeder to score the game's tying run.

After neither team scored in the fifth, Iacoangeli's one out RBI double scored Lassey in the sixth. Lassey had singled and reached second on a throwing error.

In the seventh, CCBC threatened, but stranded Lan at third when Sauter got the final batter to strike out.

Sauter, who relieved Turski to begin the fourth, moved to 2-1 with the win. She allowed only three hits, one run and one walk while striking out three in her four innings.

Turski allowed six hits, three runs and two walks while striking out one in her three innings.

Iacoangeli, once again, finished 3-for-4. She added a run, an RBI and two more stolen bases. Other offensive standouts were Sinay (2-for-4), Rockman (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Lassey (3-for-3, R, SB).

Erin Pronobi (4-for-4, 2 R) and Eleni Wright (3-for-3, R, 2 RBI, BB) led CCBC-Catonsville on offense.
