Toledo, Ohio---Lesley Ducat (Evergreen/Lyons, Ohio) picked up two wins, while Aubrey Geis (Toledo Christian/Wauseon, Ohio) picked up a key hit in today's second game as the No. 13 Owens Community College softball team picked up a sweep of Kellogg Community College at home today.

Game 1: Owens 3 Kellogg 1

Ducat tossed a complete game, while Tori Weidinger (Whitmer/Toledo, Ohio) went 3-for-3 at the plate in the first game.

Ducat struck out seven and allowed five hits, one walk and one run over her seven innings. The lone run she gave up came on the game's first pitch, which was deposited over the left field fence by Kellogg's Mary Emington.

The Express answered that run in the bottom half with an Emily Rockman (Springfield/Holland, Ohio) RBI single to right field.

In the third inning, Molly Gast (Sylvania Southview/Toledo, Ohio) scored on a bases loaded wild pitch to put the Express up 2-1.

Taylor Miller (Erie Mason/Toledo, Ohio) laced an RBI triple to left field in the fourth inning to give the Express a two run cushion.

Ducat (7-0) retired the final seven Kellogg batters she faced.

Aside from Weidinger, Miller finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and five others picked up one hit - including a pinch hit double to right center by Kendall Murphy (Maumee/Toledo, Ohio) in the sixth inning.

Game 2: Owens 4 Kellogg 3

Geis delivered a huge hit, while Ducat picked up a win in relief as the Express closed out the sweep in the second game.

With the bases loaded in the fifth inning of a scoreless game, Geis pinch hit for Kimberly Jesse (Bedford/Lambertville, Mich.) and stroked a two-run single to left that put the Express up 2-0.

After a sacrifice bunt, Weidinger hit a slow roller to third that was thrown errantly to first allowing the Express to take a 4-0 lead.

Ducat, who entered in relief of Lexi Williams (Home School/Swanton, Ohio) to begin the fifth, experienced some trouble in the sixth. She allowed three runs and Kellogg had a chance to take the lead, but Jesse made a nice running catch in to the right of the circle for the third out.

Kellogg put the leadoff runner on in the seventh, but she was stranded at second to end the inning.

Williams allowed four hits and didn't walk a batter in her four innings. She struck out two. Meanwhile, Ducat (8-0) kept her perfect record intact while allowing five hits, three runs and one walk in three innings.

Holiday Londstreth took the loss for Kellogg. She allowed eight hits and four runs (three earned) in six innings.

Miller (2-for-2, one run) led the Express offense, while six others picked up one hit apiece.
