Ducat's Strong Week Leads To OCCAC Player of the Week Honors

Toledo, Ohio---Lesley Ducat (Evergreen/Lyons, Ohio) has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Pitcher of the Week for games played April 13-19.

The sophomore righty went 3-0 last week. In 35.1 innings, she struck out 38 and posted a 1.59 ERA. In conference play, Ducat went 2-0 with 29 strikeouts over 28.1 innings with a 1.49 ERA.

Ducat is 14-5 with 131 strikeouts over 138.1 innings pitched this year for the Owens Community College softball team (25-13, 9-1 OCCAC). She has posted a 3.14 ERA and has one save, along with nine complete games. In conference play, she is 6-0 with 49 strikeouts over 47.1 innings with a 2.22 ERA.

Owens, behind two wins from Ducat in the circle, clinched the program's second straight conference championship yesterday against Lakeland. They will now close out conference play at home against Sinclair Community College at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.
