Renee Kudzia is in her fourth year as women's head basketball coach at Owens Community College. During her first year as head coach, she led the Express to a 17-11 record and the co-championship title in the OCCAC. Prior to coming to Owens Community College, Kudzia coached high school basketball in the Ypsilanti school system for one year and in the Swanton school system for four years. Kudzia served as assistant coach of the Swanton High School team when they traveled to the state tournament in 1989. She played college basketball at Eastern Michigan University where she served as team captain her senior year. Kudzia is a 1995 graduate of Lourdes College and works part-time in admissions. She will serve on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) District IV Kodak All-American selection committee.
