Title: Head Women's Basketball Coach
Year: 2nd Year

Bill Gomoluch returned for his second year as head women's basketball coach at Owens Community College.

In 1997-98, Gomoluch led the Express to a 29-9 record overall, which broke the single season record for most wins. That record still stands today.

During that season, the Express advanced to the Region XII tournament championship with three straight wins before losing to Macomb Community College 69-65. The team, however, earned an at-large bid to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament, where they finished seventh. It was the program's first trip to nationals. They finished 2-2 at the tournament.

He came to the college from Deerfield (MI) High School, where he compiled a 117-63 record (.650) in eight years. He produced five first-team All-Michigan players, including former Owens player and Academic All-American Ashli Barta.

Coach Gomoluch played basketball at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, MI, and he graduated from there with an associates degree in social services.
