Bill Gomoluch returns for his third year at Owens Community College after leading the Express to an OCCAC runner-up finish last year with a 29-8 overall record and a 12-2 OCCAC record.

In 1998-99, Gomoluch led the Express to a 27-9 overall record, which included the program's fourth OCCAC championship since 1992-93. It was also their second title in three years. The Express rattled off four straight wins to capture the program's first Region XII championship. They advanced to their second straight NJCAA D-II National Tournament, where they finished in eighth place with a 1-2 record.

He came to the college from Deerfield (MI) High School, where he compiled a 117-63 record (.650) in eight years. He produced five first-team All-Michigan players, including former Owens player and Academic All-American Ashli Barta.

Gomoluch played basketball at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, MI, and he graduated from there with an associates degree in social services.
