Bill Gomoluch coached his fifth and final season with the Express in 2000-01. He led the Express to a 24-9 overall record and runner-up finishes in the OCCAC tournament and the Region XII tournament.

In the OCCAC tournament semifinal against Cuyahoga, the Express started the game on a 24-0 run.

He left the program as the all-time wins leader, which held up until current head coach Mike Llanas broke the record.
