Mark Henry completed his first season as head coach of the Owens women's basketball program in 2001-02. During the previous five seasons, Henry served as an assistant coach under former head coach Bill Gomoluch.

In 2001-02, Henry led the Express to a 21-12 overall record, a runner-up finish at the OCCAC state tournament and an appearance in the Region XII tournament semifinals.

In addition to his college coaching experience, Henry also has coached several sports at various levels at Summerfield High School in Petersburg, Michigan, including girls varsity basketball head coach from 1986-90. A graduate of Summerfield High School, he earned his bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Michigan University in 1981. Henry resides in Petersburg, Michigan.
