Overview: Beard will be a prominent player at the guard position.

Owens career: Beard scored 203 points in 33 games (16 starts) as a freshman for an average of 6.2 per game. She contributed 118 assists, 89 rebounds, 59 steals and six blocks. She was an All-OCCAC Academic team honoree.

Prior to Owens: Beard was a 1,000 point scorer at Mansfield Ontario, where she was team MVP her senior year. Additionally, she was named All-Ohio Honorable Mention, All-Northwest District Second Team and All-Mansfield News Journal. An honor roll student, she ran track and was All-Ohio her senior season.
