Flint, MI---Taylor Marks, a 5-8 guard/forward from Flint Beecher HS, has signed to play for the Express women's basketball team next season.

A signing ceremony took place at Beecher HS recently.

Marks, a native of Mount Morris, MI, was named First Team All-Conference, Outstanding Athletic Female of the Year, and the team's Most Improved Player. Academically, she received Gold Honors and made the A/B Honor Roll.

Express women's basketball head coach Michael Llanas is excited about Taylor's ability to handle to the ball like a guard and yet be able to be physical and score inside like a forward.

"Taylor's inside-outside game will be a huge asset to our program as her tools are hard to defend."

Similar to her time at Flint Beecher, Marks is expected to play the G/F positions at Owens. She played for coach Leon Gould at Beecher.

Marks will join Kamilah Carter, a 5-4 point guard from Ann Arbor Pioneer HS, Nandi Taylor, a 5-4 point guard from Flint Hamady HS, Jordyn Bond, a 5-7 guard/forward from Romulus HS, Eboni Adams, a 5-7 point guard from Cleveland Maple Heights HS, Meshia Smith, a 5-11 forward from Pontiac HS, Breonna House, a 5-6 guard from Pontiac HS, and Malaysha Cammon, a 6-5 center from Dearborn Divine Child HS.
