Dearborn, MI---Malaysha Cammon will play for the Express women's basketball team next season after signing a letter of intent recently in a ceremony at her high school.

The 6-4 center from Divine Child HS in Dearborn, MI will provide a presence in the post for a team that is graduating the school's single season blocks record holder Hailey Galvan.

"She is replacing one of the best shot blockers in Owens history," said Express women's basketball head coach Michael Llanas. "We therefore think she can block shots, rebound, and eventually be a top scorer for our program."

Cammon was part of Divine Child's 2010-11 state championship team, as well as their Final Four team from this past year.

She played for coach Mary Laney at Divine Child.

Cammon will join Kamilah Carter, a 5-4 point guard from Ann Arbor Pioneer HS, Jordyn Bond, a 5-7 guard/forward from Romulus HS, Taylor Marks, a 5-8 guard/forward from Flint Beecher HS, Meshia Smith, a 5-11 forward from Pontiac HS, Breonna House, a 5-6 guard from Pontiac HS, Eboni Adams, a 5-7 guard from Cleveland Maples Heights HS, and Nandi Taylor, a 5-4 point guard from Flint Hamady HS.
