House Has Strong Game, But Express Women Fall To Mott 77-70

Flint, MI---The Express women's basketball team, playing their fourth game in seven days, dropped a road game to Mott Community College 77-70 on Thursday.

Breonna House, a freshman guard, made her first start of the season and performed well. She finished with 11 points and three assists, while shooting 2-for-4 from the field and 6-for-6 from the foul line.

Emma-Jean Ricketts led the Express offense overall with 20 points and six rebounds, while Uniqua Mitchell had 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.

Karahn Scott, who had not played since the home game against Mott on Dec. 5, scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds off the bench.

Char'nae Coleman led Mott with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Deja Penn had 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Porsha Fluker also hit double figures with 11 points, while adding five steals for the Bears.

The Express (10-5) will take on Mid-Michigan Community College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the SHAC.
