Carter Pours in 23 As No. 9 Express Women's Basketball Bounces Back with 77-68 win over Southeastern

West Burlington, Iowa---Kamilah Carter (Pioneer/Ann Arbor, Mich.) had 23 points and five assists to lead the No. 9 Express women's basketball team past Southeastern Community College 77-68 on the road today.

Carter finished 7-for-19 from the field, 3-for-8 from 3-point range and 6-for-7 from the foul line. Both her point and assist total were team-highs, while she also had three rebounds and one steal.

The Express, who were up 38-31 at halftime, also got 11 points, three rebounds and two assists from Paige Wright (Northrop/Fort Wayne, Ind.) 

LaKayra Carlisle (Pershing/Detroit, Mich.) led the Express in rebounding with five.

Ashley Tunstall (Wayne/Huber Heights, Mich.), Kheri Motley (West Bloomfield/West Bloomfield, Mich.) and Zhana Randolph (Rochester/Rochester Hills, Mich.) each had eight points for the Express.

The Express (1-1) will travel to Wayne County Community College on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
