Adams (17 Pts) Leads No. 9 Express Women's Basketball to 10th Straight Win

Toledo, Ohio---Eboni Adams (Maple Heights/Cleveland, Ohio) scored 17 points in 18 minutes as the No. 9 Express women's basketball team defeated Lourdes University JV 85-38 in the SHAC today.

Adams finished 8-for-13 from the field, including an array of floaters in the lane. She added two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.

Meanwhile, three other players also scored in double figures for the Express. Ashley Tunstall (Huber Heights Wayne/Dayton, Ohio) had 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds (four offensive), Kheri Motley (West Bloomfield/West Bloomfield, Mich.) had 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal off the bench, and Kamilah Carter (Pioneer/Ann Arbor, Mich.) had 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and one steals.

Paige Wright (Northrop/Fort Wayne, Ind.) continued her facilitator role with six points, six rebounds, a team-high five assists and three steals. Zhana Randolph (Rochester/Rochester Hills, Mich.) had a team-high four steals off the bench, while adding six points, two rebounds and two assists.

Adams has notched double-figures in scoring in all but two games this year. She is averaging almost 13 points per contest after tallying a little over three per game as a freshman.

Some key stats for the Express today included a heavy advantage in field goal percentage (37-for-72, 51.4 percent compared to 13-for-56, 23.2 percent for Lourdes), as well as advantages in turnovers (12 to 22), steals (15 to 6), rebounds (51 to 31), offensive rebounds (18 to 11), assists (22 to 6) and blocks (four to zero).

Maura Hackney (Edgewood/Middletown, Ohio) tied her season-high in scoring today with eight for the Express. She also added a season-high three offensive rebounds.

For Wright, today was her fifth game this year in which she had at least five points, five rebounds and five assists. She is averaging 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, in addition to her 10.9 scoring average.

Five players had at least four rebounds for the Express today, while eight different players picked up at least one offensive rebound. Tunstall led the way on the offensive glass with four, and she has at least three offensive rebounds in every game this year. She is averaging nearly five offensive rebounds per game.

Malaysha Cammon (Divine Child/Dearborn, Mich.) had a team-high two blocks for the Express. She had a season-high four rebounds today, as well.

Lourdes was led by Daja Whiteside, who totaled 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Express, who won their 10th straight game today, improved to 10-1 this year. They will take on No. 12 Kalamazoo Valley Community College tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the SHAC. The Cougars (6-1) defeated Edison Community College 79-65 in the earlier matchup today. Additionally, they recently defeated No. 5 St. Clair County Community College 75-73 and will pose a tough matchup for the Express. In fact, tomorrow's game will be the third time the Express have faced a team ranked among the nation's top 18 teams.

Today's matchups were part of the Turkey Shootout. Edison will take on Lourdes at 11 a.m. tomorrow prior to the Express-KVCC matchup.

The Express had season-highs, as a team, today in field goals made (37), field goal percentage (51.4) and assists (22). They also tied their mark for fewest turnovers with 12.
