Toledo, Ohio---Kamilah Carter (Pioneer/Ann Arbor, Mich.), a sophomore point guard with the Owens Community College women's basketball team, has been named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Honorable Mention All-American.

Carter led the Express to a 26-3 record this past season and an appearance in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Region XII District I championship game. Along the way, she averaged 19.3 points per game. In total, she amassed 559 points, which is fifth most in the single season in program history.

Carter's selection marks the second consecutive year that the Owens women's basketball team has had a player selected as a WBCA All-American after Emma-Jean Ricketts (Anthony Wayne/Waterville, Ohio) earned the honor last year. Ricketts currently plays at NCAA Division II Ursuline College, where she was named All-Conference in her first season there.
