Toledo, Ohio---The No. 4 Owens Community College women's basketball team stifled Kellogg Community College defensively, while pouring it on offensively in a 101-35 win at the Student Health and Activities Center (SHAC) tonight.

Offensively, all five Owens starters reached double figures in scoring, while the four players off the bench combined for 24 points. Lakyn Gulley (South Side/Fort Wayne, Ind.) led all scorers with 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting (5-for-8 from 3-point range).

The second period saw Owens only hold a two point advantage, but Kellogg had more turnovers than points through most of the first half.

In the third period, Owens opened with an 18-2 run and held a 63-24 lead with 3:57 left. They also scored seven of the next eight points and led 70-25 following back-to-back field goals from Bethea and a 3-pointer from Williams.

Owens also started the fourth period on a nice run by scoring the first 12 points to lead 86-30 with 7:45 left in the game. A pair of free throws from Reynolds with 21 seconds left put Owens over the century mark for the first time since March 18 of last season.
