Toledo, OH -- The Owens Women's Basketball team has accomplished a lot with just six players, but the Express need you on Saturday afternoon when they host Rock Valley for the District Championship. 

The District Championship is slated for tip off at 1 PM from the Student Health and Activities Center. The winner of the game will advance to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament in Bethlehem, PA in two weeks.

We are asking all Express fans to wear their red and Pack the SHAC on Saturday to cheer our women's basketball team on. 

The Owens Basketball team is 22-8 and won their seventh straight OCCAC title this year. The Express were the first Division III team to either share or win the conference title outright for women's basketball. They also won the Region XII Championship this past Monday against Columbus State, 74-62. 

Shyah Wheeler would finish the game with 35 points on 15-24 shooting. She also had 13 rebounds to lead the Express. For her efforts, the Elida native was named the Region XII Tournament's Most Valuable Player. 

Moreina Moore also had 11 points while Whitney Thames had a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

Come on out to support the Express this Saturday afternoon when they take on Rock Valley. Red-Out the gym and let's Pack the SHAC to cheer on our Owens Women's Basketball team!
