Badalamente and the Ocelots Shut Out The Express

Toledo, OH---The Owens Express women's soccer team lost to an experienced, battle-tested Schoolcraft College team 5-0 on Wednesday.

The Ocelots finished fourth in the nation last season at the NJCAA Division I level. Lauren Badalamente scored two goals for Schoolcraft, while Sam Zerilla and Dawn Easton each added one. The other goal was an own goal by Aleha Almester (Rossford/Rossford, Ohio). Zerilla's goal came on a penalty kick.

Shara Williams (Springfield/Holland, Ohio) started in goal for the Express and stopped 10 shots. Megan Bauman stopped four shots for Schoolcraft.

Owens is now 4-3 this year, while Schoolcraft moves to 5-0. The next game for Owens is Sept. 24 at Mercyhurst College North East (Pa.) at 2 p.m.
