Eitnear and Szabo Lead Express Women's Soccer to Win in Program Debut

Toledo, OH---Kendra Eitniear (Swanton/Swanton, Ohio) and Marissa Szabo (Southview/Sylvania, Ohio) made sure the Owens Express women's soccer team won their college debut in stunning fashion.

In the first NJCAA Division I match in the history of the program, Eitniear scored six goals - two in the first 2:26 of the match - and Szabo added three of her own in a 10-1 rout of Mercyhurst College North East (Pa.) 10-1

The NJCAA Division I women's soccer record for most goals by an individual in a game is nine. Four more have scored eight.

Overall, Eitniear's six goals game at the 1:42, 2:26, 16:06, 33:34, 59:49, and the 82:02 marks. Szabo added her three goals at the 48:44, 65:02 and 67:47 marks, while Haley Gasser (Northview/Sylvania, Ohio) added the other goal for the Express at the 78:50 mark.

Gasser also added three assists, while Jaime Sesock (Holly/Davisburg, Mich.) added two. Other assists came from Alyvia Lieber (Maumee/Maumee, Ohio), Sarah Weaver (Margaretta/Castalia, Ohio) and Erica Lankey (Toledo Christian/Toledo, Ohio).

Mercyhurst's lone goal came at the 42:08 mark in the game. The Express had 33 shots on goal compared to six for Mercyhurst.
