Balanced Scoring Leads Express to Rout of Kellogg

Toledo OH---The Owens Express women's soccer team scored seven goals in the first half en route to a 10-0 win over Kellogg C.C. on Sunday.

The win moves Owens to 2-1 this season as three players scored two goals apiece: Sarah Weaver (Margaretta/Castalia, Ohio), Marissa Szabo (Southview/Sylvania, Ohio) and Amanda Roumaya (Whitmer/Toledo, Ohio). Szabo added one assist.

Other goal scorers included: Sara Ruiz (Swanton/Holland, Ohio), Alyvia Lieber (Maumee/Maumee, Ohio), Kendra Eitniear (Swanton/Swanton, Ohio), and Haley Gasser (Northview/Sylvania, Ohio).

Aside from Szabo, other assist talliers included Eitniear with two, Gasser with one, Shara Williams (Springfield/Holland, Ohio) with one, Jaime Sesock (Holly/Davisburg, Mich.) with two, Lieber with two, and Ruiz with one.

Williams started in goal and stopped four shots on goal for the Express.

Owens has now scored 20 goals in three games while only allowing two. Eitniear has seven goals, while Szabo has five.
