2012: Preble started 16 of 18 games as a freshman while helping to anchor the Express defense that produced 10 shutouts. She did not record a goal or assist.

Prior to Owens: Preble was a four-year starter at Lake for coach Steve Hoffman, and she was a First Team All-Suburban Lakes League selection her sophomore through senior seasons, as well as a Second Team All-District selection as a sophomore and an Honorable Mention All-District selection as a senior. Moreover, she helped lead her team to a district semifinal as a senior, a regional final as a junior, and a regional semifinal as a sophomore.

Personal: Tara is the daughter of Duane and Denise Preble. She has one brother, Dustin.
