Onsted's Powell Signs With Express Women's Soccer

Toledo, OH---Brittany Powell, a three-sport athlete from Onsted High School, has signed to play for the Express women's soccer team next season.

The 5'6" forward/midfielder was a member of seven indoor and outdoor travel soccer championship teams with Real FC from 2006-12. Her high school soccer coach was Sally Skeels.

In track, she was an All-Michigan selection in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and a member of the 2010-11 state championship team in the 4 x 400 meter relay. She was also part of the 4 x 800 meter relay team that finished sixth the same year.

Additionally, she is a member of the very successful Onsted girls basketball team. The program is the reigning back-to-back Lenawee County Athletic Association (LCAA) league champions.

Powell will major in dental hygiene at Owens. She is the daughter of Brent and Robene Powell and resides in Onsted, Michigan.

She joins Kendyl Christian, Abby Groll and Megan Soncrant of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio as the first four members of the 2013-14 freshmen class.
