Sophomore Forwards Eitniear, Plummer Sign With Tiffin University

Tiffin, OH---Kendra Eitniear and Drew Plummer, sophomore forwards with the Express women's soccer team, will stay teammates next year as the two have signed at Tiffin University.

Eitniear leaves the Express as the program's all-time leading scorer, and she is the program's first NJCAA Athletic All-American.

As a freshman, Eitniear produced 21 goals and eight assists, and she led the team to a 12-8 record. The team also made its first Region XII tournament appearance.

In the team's first game of that year against Mercyhurst North East, she scored six goals, which still stands as the single game record. Later in the season, Eitniear scored four goals in a match against Lorain County, which is the second most goals in a single game. Following the season, she was named Second Team All-Region XII.

This past season, Eitniear scored 11 goals and added four assists. She helped lead the Express to a 13-2-3 overall record and a 10-0-2 record in Region XII play. Following the season, she was named First Team All-Region XII and an NJCAA D-I Honorable Mention All-American. Additionally, she was named the Female Athlete of the Year by the athletic department.

All together, Eitniear holds the marks for second (21) and third (11) highest single season goal totals in program history, is second (50) and fifth (26) in single season points, first in career goals (32), second in career assists (12) and first in career points (76).

Eitniear, who also scored the program's first ever goal, is a graduate of Swanton High School in Swanton, OH.

Plummer, meanwhile, came to the Express this past season following one year at Baldwin Wallace University.

This year, with the Express, she scored the team's first goal of the season - just under six minutes into a match against Cincinnati State. She would go on to finish third on the team in scoring with five goals and seven assists. She finished second on the team in assists and fifth in goals scored. Following the season, Plummer was named Second Team All-Region XII.

Plummer is currently tied for the single game assists mark with three, which she achieved against Kellogg Community College on Oct. 13.

Plummer is a graduate of Lake High School in Millbury, OH, where she broke the career goals record with 53 and career assists record with 19.

Notes

Of last year's six player sophomore class, Eitniear and Plummer are the first two to play at a four-year school. Two others, Kristina-Marie Rutherford and Haley Gasser, redshirted and will be sophomores this coming fall. The final two, Sarah Weaver and Jaime Sesock, will continue their academic careers.

Tiffin University is an NCAA D-II school, and they compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They finished 9-8-2 last year and advanced to the GLIAC quarterfinals.
