2013: Avers was an integral part of a championship team as a sophomore - despite tallying just one assist.
2012: Avers started the first 12 games for the Express before suffering a season ending injury against Schoolcraft College on Oct. 3. In that time, she had one goal and one assist, while her one goal was the game winner in a 1-0 win over Schoolcraft College on Aug. 29.
Prior to Owens: Avers was named the player of the year in the inaugural season of the Northern Buckeye Conference as a senior. As a junior, she was named the co-player of the year in the Suburban Lakes League. Playing for head coach Malcolm Edge, she registered 65 goals during her final two seasons and 76 goals in her four year career, with the latter being a school record. She was a team captain as a senior while winning First Team All-NBC honors as a senior and First Team All-SLL honors as a junior. Academically, she was an honor roll student.
Personal: Taylor is the daughter of Tom and Lori Avers. She has four siblings, Brent, Danielle, Brock and Ryan.
