2014: Powell finished sixth on the team in scoring as a sophomore. She tallied three goals and three assists in 20 games (14 starts), and she closed her two-year career with seven goals and four assists.
2013: Powell started two games, while seeing action in 20, as a freshman. She tallied four goals and one assist, while producing a season-high two goals in a win over Indiana Tech JV on Sept. 15.
Prior to Owens: Powell was a three-sport athlete at Onsted High School. In soccer, she was a member of seven indoor and outdoor travel soccer championship teams with Real FC from 2006-12. Her high school soccer coach was Sally Skeels.
In track, she was an All-Michigan selection in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and a member of the 2010-11 state championship team in the 4 x 400 meter relay. She was also part of the 4 x 800 meter relay team that finished sixth the same year.
Additionally, she was a member of the very successful Onsted girls basketball team. The program won back-to-back Lenawee County Athletic Association (LCAA) league championships.
