University Center, Mich.---The No. 14 Owens Community College women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision on the road to Delta College today.

The game, which was scoreless at halftime, snapped a two-game winning streak for Owens.

"The attitude, energy and focus was great on our part in the first half," Owens women's soccer head coach Kenny Hewitt said. "We hit the crossbar, their keeper made some saves, but we didn't have any luck. In the second half, it was all mistakes."

Of their four second half goals, one came via a penalty kick. Another came from a free kick. And another came from a corner kick.

Megan Soncrant (Clay/Oregon, Ohio) made the start in place of Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio). She went the distance in goal for Owens and made three saves.

Aside from Randolph, Owens was without the services of Haley Malaczewski (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio).

Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio) produced the only goal for Owens. It was her second goal this season.

"Jordyn was fantastic," Hewitt said.

Owens is now 2-2-1 overall. They will host Cincinnati State Technical and Community College at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
