Owens Blanks Indiana Tech 2-0 In Evening Road Battle

Fort Wayne, Ind.---The Owens Community College women's soccer team scored one goal in each half to produce a 2-0 victory over Indiana Tech University on the road tonight.

The game was scoreless until Haley Malaczewski (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) scored her 11th goal of the season 41:56 in. The goal was assisted by Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio).

Later, at the 75:55 mark, Kendyl Christian (Clay/Oregon, Ohio) added her sixth goal of the season to provide a little cushion for Owens. Brittany Powell (Onsted/Onsted, Mich.) assisted on the goal.

Wright picked up her ninth assist this season, and Powell produced her third assist of the season.

Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) made five saves in net for Owens. It was her sixth shutout of the season.

Owens is now 11-3-2 overall this year heading into its final regular season match on Saturday, which will be on the road at Jackson College at 3 p.m.
