Toledo, Ohio---Kaleigh Strausbaugh has become one of the first three members of next year's Owens women's soccer freshmen class after signing her letter of intent earlier this week.

The 5-7 forward/midfielder is currently a senior at Bowling Green High School, where she was First Team All-Northern Lakes League (NLL) and Second Team All-District this past season. Additionally, she was a team captain and the team's offensive player of the year.

Strausbaugh was coached by former Owens women's soccer assistant coach Stacey Lucas at BGHS.

Strausbaugh joins Kelsey Combs (Anthony Wayne) and Lynzee Richardson (Napoleon) as one of three members of next year's freshmen class.

The Owens women's soccer team finished 14-5-2 this past fall under the guidance of first-year head coach Kenny Hewitt, who led the team to its second straight appearance at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I national tournament. The team also captured its second straight Region XII tournament championship.
