2015: Phalen saw action in eight games as a freshman. She had one goal and one assist on the season, but made each count. Her assist vs Muskegon on Oct. 24 tied the game, and she also scored the game-winner in the same contest to help Owens clinch a postseason berth.
Prior to Owens: Phalen was a First Team All-Northern Buckeye Conference (NBC) and Second Team All-Northwest District selection as a senior this past fall. She led Lake to a 15-4-2 overall record, an NBC championship and a regional semifinal appearance.
As a junior, she led the team in goals with 13, while adding four assists en route to Second Team All-NBC and Honorable Mention All-District honors. The team finished 12-8 and was the district runner-up. Prior to that, she earned Honorable Mention All-NBC honors.
While playing for head coach Don Jablonski, Phalen earned NBC All-Academic honors. She was also a four-year varsity letter winner.
Personal: Catie is the daughter of Jeff and Cindi Phalen. She has one sister, Samantha.
