Job's Goal Is Lone Highlight In 6-1 Loss To Parkland College

Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College women's soccer team suffered a 6-1 setback against Parkland (IL) College at home today.

The loss drops Owens to 0-2 this year, while Parkland improves to 2-0.

Despite the loss, Jermima Job (Lincoln College/Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom) was a bright spot for Owens. The freshman tallied seven shots, with six coming on goal. One of those six landed in the net at the 82:51 mark for the first Owens goal of the season.

Catherine McHale scored twice for Parkland, who scored three in the first half and held a 5-0 lead at the time of Job's goal. Kaljit Atwal added the sixth goal with 3:08 left.

Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) faced 12 shots on goal and made six saves. 

Owens will be back in action this coming Friday at 4 p.m. at Jackson College. They will return home at 4 p.m. on Sept. 11 against Delta College.
