Wright, Job Notch Goals As @OwensExpress Punches 2-0 Shutout Over Delta

Toledo, Ohio---Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio) scored midway through the first half to provide all the offense the Owens Community College women's soccer team needed in a 2-0 victory over Delta College today.

With a limited lineup, Wright struck with a distant shot at the 19:40 mark that bounced in front of and went past Delta's goalkeeper, Ali Boucier, on the rain slicked grass.

Then, after taking that lead into the half, Jermima Job (Lincoln College/Nottinghamshire, U.K.) produced an insurance goal just 2:09 into the second half. It was the freshman midfielder's fifth goal of the season.

Wright's goal is her first of the season and the eighth of her career. Sophie Hollis (Tomlinscote/Surrey, England) picked up an assist on Job's goal. It was her first of the season.

In goal, Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) made eight saves for Owens, which improved to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in Region XII play with the win. It was also the eighth shutout of Randolph's career.
