Kingshott's Hat Trick Too Much For Ancilla In 5-0 Win

Toledo, Ohio---Dayna Kingshott (The College of West Anglia/King's Lynn, United Kingdom) came away with her first collegiate hat trick as the Owens Community College women's soccer team defeated Ancilla College 5-0 at home today.

With the win, Owens has now outscored Ancilla 12-0 in a pair of wins this year.

Kingshott opened the game's scoring when she netted back-to-back goals over a three minute span midway through the first half via a pair of assists from Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio).

Wright then scored a goal of her own off a pass from Sophie Hollis (Tomlinscote/Surrey, England) with less than a minute to play in the half to give Owens a 3-0 lead at the break.

Jermima Job (Lincoln College/Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom), who scored a hat trick yesterday, put Owens up 4-0 with her team-high 12th goal of the season at the 50:24 mark. Ellie Kirby (Itchen Sixth Form College/Southampton, Hampshire, England) assisted on the play.

Kingshott then completed her hat trick via a penalty kick at the 58:27 mark after Wright was taken down in the box.

Despite just playing five games so far, Kingshott now has five goals. She is second on the team in goals scored.

Wright, who totaled one goal and two assists today, now has four goals and three assists this year. Hollis picked up her second assist and Kirby produced her team-high fourth assist.

Owens is now 5-3 overall this year. They will travel to Cincinnati State Technical and Community College on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
