@OwensExpress Falls 4-1 To Cincinnati State In Women's Soccer

Cincinnati, Ohio---Jami Pfeifer scored a pair of goals to lead the Cincinnati State women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Owens Community College today.

Pfeifer scored in the 27th minute off a Britne Wilmer pass to give Cincinnati State a 1-0 lead at halftime. Shannon Jameson pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 66th minute before Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio) struck for Owens in the 70th minute off an assist from Sophie Hollis (Tomlinscote/Surrey, England).

Cincinnati State, however, got a goal from Katrina Brickley and the second goal from Pfeifer to seal the game following that.

Wright led Owens with three shots on goal, while Jermima Job (Lincoln College/Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom) added two.

Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) made eight saves in goal for Owens. Kelsie Lee made seven saves for Cincinnati State.

Owens is now 5-4 overall, while Cincinnati State improves to 5-2 overall. 

Owens (5-4 overall) will be back in action Oct. 3-4 at Muskegon Community College and Lake Michigan College. Cincinnati State improved to 5-2 overall with the win.

Notes

Wright's goal was her fifth of the season, while Hollis picked up her third assist of the season.
