Toledo, Ohio---Megan McKinney scored the game's lone goal in the second half as the Owens Community College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Mercyhurst North East Community College today.

McKinney's goal, which came with 25:25 remaining, gave Mercyhurst North East their first win over Owens since the two teams started playing in 2011.

For Owens, Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) made two saves in goal for Owens, while Kym Braine made eight saves for Mercyhurst North East.

Owens fell to 9-9 as they completed the regular season. They will open postseason play in the Region XII tournament on Saturday against Cincinnati State Technical and Community College at 2 p.m. The tournament will be held at the Wyoming Rec Center in Cincinnati. 

Mercyhurst North East improved to 9-3-1 overall with the win.
