Toledo, Ohio---Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio), a sophomore goalkeeper for the Owens Community College women's soccer team, will play at NAIA University of Pikeville next season.

Randolph, who was a late addition to the team prior to her freshman season, will leave the program with the single match (17), single season (126) and career (247) save records.

As a freshman, she started all but one match, made 121 saves and recorded seven shutouts. In a 5-2 win over Pima Community College in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament, she set the aformentioned single game saves record.

Following that freshman season, Randolph was named Second Team All-Region XII and the team's MVP. She finished first in the region in save percentage, saves and shutouts. Nationally, she was 18th in total saves and 13th in shutouts.

As a sophomore, Randolph started all 19 games in goal en route to four shutouts. Among those 19 games, she posted four with double-digit saves, including a season-high 15 on Oct. 19 vs Schoolcraft.

Randolph is the first of several women's soccer players at Owens who will sign at four-year schools in the near future. Stay tuned to OwensExpress.com as the signings come in.

The University of Pikeville, located in Pikeville, Kentucky, is an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference.

Notes

The college announced earlier this spring that they will be suspending the sport of women's soccer, along with baseball, softball, men's soccer and men's golf beginning with the 2016-17 school year.

Since the beginning of the program in 2011, the Owens women's soccer program compiled a 65-27-7 record. They captured two Region XII tournament championships along the way, won the program's first national tournament game and received the Lea Plarski Sportsmanship Award at the national tournament in 2013 - along with many other individual honors such as Kendra Eitniear becoming the program's first NJCAA All-American and Jessica Grindle becoming the first Owens soccer player (men's or women's) to earn NJCAA Division I All-National Tournament team recognition.
