Toledo, Ohio---Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio), who was an integral member of the Owens Community College women's soccer team the past two seasons, will take her talents to NCAA Division III Wittenberg University this fall.

Wright, who signed with Owens during the transition period between head coaches in the summer of 2014, produced 12 goals and a team-high eight assists as a sophomore. She posted three double digit goal games - Oct. 4 vs Lake Michigan, Oct. 16 vs Jackson and Oct. 24 vs Muskegon.

As a freshman, Wright had seven goals and a team-high 10 assists, including a goal in a 5-2 win over Pima Community College in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament. Following her freshman campaign, she earned Second Team All-Region XII recognition after finishing first in assists and fourth in total points in region play.

In her two-year career, Wright produced 19 goals and 18 assists. She leaves the program tied for fourth in career points, fifth in career goals and second in career assists. She started every game in her career.

Wittenberg, located in Springfield, Ohio, compiled a 10-6-2 overall record last year, including a 5-2-1 mark in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play. They are led by head coach Matt Fannon.

Notes

Wright joins Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) as one of two members of this past year's Owens Community College women's soccer team to sign with a four-year school so far. Randolph previously signed with NAIA Pikeville University.

Overall, Wright is the 19th Owens student-athlete to sign with a four-year school so far this year. You can check out the full list here, which will be continually updated as more sign.

Owens Community College announced earlier this spring that they will be suspending the sports of women's soccer, baseball, softball, men's soccer and men's golf beginning in 2016-17.

Since the beginning of the program in 2011, the Owens women's soccer program compiled a 65-27-7 record. They captured two Region XII tournament championships along the way, won the program's first national tournament game and received the Lea Plarski Sportsmanship Award at the national tournament in 2013 - along with many other individual honors such as Kendra Eitniear becoming the program's first NJCAA All-American and Jessica Grindle becoming the first Owens soccer player (men's or women's) to earn NJCAA Division I All-National Tournament team recognition.
