Fred Aubuchon comes to Owens with experience and honors as both a volleyball coach and player. He was a member of the Central Michigan University men's volleyball club from 1991-92 and the University of Toledo men's volleyball club from 1994-96. 

Aubuchon was a team MVP while at UT, while creating and coaching the CMU and Toledo women's volleyball clubs. In addition, he coached the Toledo men's volleyball club from 1994-95. He was a 1996 All-Tournament selection at the University of Buffalo and the Midwest Club Championships.

Aubuchon holds a bachelor's of applied arts degree from CMU and a master's degree of education and allied professions from Toledo.
