Fred Aubuchon returns for his fourth season at Owens Community College after leading the Express to a third place finish at the 1998 NJCAA D-III National Championship. In addition, his team also won the OCCAC state tournament for the first time and finished as OCCAC co-champions. Coach Aubuchon has compiled a 76-53 record and received seven Coach of the Year awards - including OCCAC Coach of the Year in 1997.

For the past three years, Aubuchon has been heavily involved in USA volleyball juniors programs in the Toledo area, primarily the Perrysburg Premier Volleyball Club. In the summer, he administers and directs camps for Advance Volleyball Performance (AVP camps). He holds a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and a master's degree from the University of Toledo.
