Owens Career: In 2001, she played in 89 games as a defensive player and setter, and recorded 146 digs, 227 assists and 34 aces.

High School: 2001 Eastwood High School graduate, Pemberville, Ohio, where she was Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Suburban Lakes League and Second Team All-District.  She also was a member of the varsity softball team, earning Second Team and Honorable Mention All-SLL and First Team All-District honors, as well as being selected to All-Wood County softball team in 2001.
